Cookies Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that Calecta uses, what each one is for, and how to opt out. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They're widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. “Similar technologies” here includes things like localStorage (which is just a different way of storing information in your browser) and session identifiers.
Cookies we set
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for Calecta to function and cannot be switched off in our system. They are usually set in response to actions made by you that amount to a request for services, like signing in or filling in forms.
| Name | Purpose | Set by | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in across pages. Without this you'd have to log in on every request. | Supabase (our auth provider) | Session, refreshed on use |
sidebar_state | Remembers whether the desktop sidebar is expanded or collapsed. | Calecta | 1 year |
admin_sidebar_state | Same as above, but for the admin panel sidebar. Only set for admin users. | Calecta | 1 year |
Preferences
These are stored in your browser's localStorage rather than as cookies, but serve the same function — they remember your in-app preferences so we don't have to ask every visit.
| Key | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
theme | Your light/dark mode choice. | Until you change it or clear browser data |
calecta.vendor.lastVisit | Powers the “Last visited X ago” line on the place card sheet. | Until you clear browser data |
Third-party cookies on outbound links
When you click an outbound link to a vendor (via the “Open Store” button on a place card), the affiliate network routing that click may set its own cookie on the destination site. We don't set or read that cookie ourselves. See our Affiliate Disclosure and the network's own privacy policy for the cookies they use.
What we don't use
Calecta does not currently use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site behavioral tracking. We don't run third-party ad pixels, social-network share widgets that track you, or analytics products that build a profile of your visits across the internet. If we add product analytics in the future, this page will be updated and (for EU/UK visitors) a consent banner will appear before any optional cookies are set.
How to control or delete cookies
Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or be notified before a new cookie is set. The exact steps depend on your browser:
Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and most app features. Disabling preference cookies will reset things like your theme and sidebar layout on every visit but won't otherwise affect the app.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when we add or remove cookies. The “Last updated” date at the bottom always reflects the most recent revision.
