Plain version: Calecta may earn a small commission when you click a link to a brand we feature and you buy something. This never influences which brands we surface — our editorial choices stay independent.

How it works

Calectacurates and displays a catalog of brands. When you tap “Visit website” on a vendor's place card (or any other link out to a brand's site), we may route the click through an affiliate network — currently Skimlinks, a Taboola company — before delivering you to the brand's website. The network places a tracking cookie on the destination site so that, if you make a purchase, the brand pays us a small percentage of the sale.

What this means for you

• You pay the same price you'd pay if you went directly to the brand's website. The commission comes from the brand's marketing budget, not from your wallet.
• You may see an affiliate-network cookie in your browser after clicking out. That cookie is set and managed by the network, not by us. See our Cookies Policy and the network's own privacy policy for details on what it tracks and how to opt out.
• The brand may receive a referral ID indicating that Calecta sent you. It does not include personal information about you — just our publisher identifier.

Our editorial independence

We choose brands for the Calecta catalog based on editorial fit and curator interest, not commercial relationships. Affiliate commissions do not buy placement; we list brands without affiliate relationships alongside those that pay commissions, and we don't display brands more prominently because they pay more. If we ever decide to mark certain placements as sponsored or paid, we'll label them clearly and update this disclosure.

Where this disclosure appears

In addition to this page, you'll see a short reminder near every “Visit website” button: “Calectamay earn a commission on this link.” That meets the FTC requirement that disclosure happens at the point where the choice to click is being made.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising,” and equivalent endorsement-disclosure rules in other jurisdictions where Calecta is available.
